Our story
Eighteen years alongside Muslim families
Yusuf Patel founded the organisation in 2008, as SREIslamic, when parents across the country were confused about what their children were being taught in school and unsure of their rights. Today, as Muslim Family Initiative, we support families at home as well as in schools, with research, training, toolkits and programmes for parents, teachers and young people.
